August 15–17 Get Together & Ride at Zumbro Bottoms!
We’re excited for the August Get Together & Ride event, happening August 15–17 at the Zumbro Bottoms Horse Camp – West Campground in beautiful Thielman, Minnesota!
Join fellow members for a weekend filled with riding, relaxing, and reconnecting with friends—both old and new. Zumbro Bottoms offers a scenic experience with miles of trails winding through bluff country, hardwood forests, and along the Zumbro River.
Event Details:
- Dates: August 15–17, 2025 (Friday–Sunday)
- Location: West Camp, Zumbro Bottoms Horse Camp, Thielman, MN
- Who’s invited: All members and guests are welcome!
- Campsites: First-come, first-served. Reservations fees can be paid through Yodel app or call center 866-857-2757 to pay by check.
- Amenities: Water spigots, high lines, outhouses, and plenty of room for rigs and trailers.
- Gather around the fire each night for stories, laughs, and good company.
Whether you plan to ride all day or just enjoy the camaraderie around the campfire, it'll be fun fir everyone.

Exhibit at the 2026 Midwest Horse Fair: Showcasing Paso Finos
Are you interested in exhibiting at the Midwest Horse Fair on April 17, 18, and 19, 2026? As the largest three-day horse fair in the United States, the Midwest Horse Fair attracts over 60,000 attendees each year. Held at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin, this event has been a celebrated tradition since 1979 and continues to grow in popularity.
This year, the Mid-America Paso Fino Horse Association (MAPFHA) is seeking six Paso Finos to represent the breed in the exhibition. To particpate we need six committed horses by November 1, 2025. If MAPFHA is selected, exhibitors will participate in two ten-minute breed demonstrations—one in the Coliseum and one in the Pavilion Two arena.
Each ten-minute presentation will focus on educating the audience about the Paso Fino breed. Will highlighting the unique characteristics and traditional presentation styles of Paso Finos. This is also an excellent opportunity to showcase the Paso Fino's versatility and range to create an engaging and informative experience for spectators.
Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to select one horse to represent the breed in the prestigious Grand March, a highlight of the event.

Rolling Acres Ranch Open House!
Rolling Acres Ranch will have an open house on Sunday, August 17 from 1-5pm Located at W6562 870th Ave, River Falls, WI
Rolling Acres Ranch is a private boarding barn and home of Paso Fino Jackpot!
Come visit their beautiful farm and enjoy the horses, goats, chickens, dogs and cats. There will be pony rides, lawn games and even a home pickleball court!
They'll have snacks and soft drinks. BYOB.

Where Are Our MAPFHA Members?
The Mid America Paso Fino Horse Association (MAPFHA) has a wonderful and growing membership across the Upper Midwest! Our region includes Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Nebraska, with the largest group of members clustered in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. We also have several Paso Fino enthusiasts in Iowa and the Dakotas.
If you’re wondering whether there are other members near you—chances are, there might be! Check out the map to see! Connecting with fellow Paso Fino owners is a great way to share trail rides, training tips, and friendship.
