Breed Ambassadors
Paso Fino Spotlight: Tracy Porter & Jinx Shine at the 2025 Liberty Festival
The Paso Fino breed was proudly represented at the 2025 Liberty Festival held at the Kentucky Horse Park. Among the many talented competitors, Jinx, a Paso Fino gelding, and his partner Tracy Porter stood out with a series of impressive results across multiple divisions. Tracy, a lifelong Paso owner and MAPFHA’s 2025 Trail Horse Clinician, continues to embody the values of thoughtful, connected horsemanship. Her bond with Jinx reflects years of trust, communication, and shared joy—qualities that were unmistakable throughout their performances.
Together, Tracy and Jinx competed in several categories and earned strong placings in every one. They secured 3rd place in both Pro Novice and Pro Intermediate Training Level Liberty, followed by a solid 6th place in Pro Intermediate Lead Line. They added a 4th place in Pro Novice and 5th place in Pro Intermediate to their achievements. Their connection shone brightly in the bridleless classes as well, earning them the title of Reserve Champion in Pro Novice Bridleless. They closed out their weekend with strong showings in the obstacle classes, placing 3rd in Pro Novice and 6th in Pro Intermediate.
Watching Tracy and Jinx together is a testament to the versatility and heart of the Paso Fino breed. Their performances demonstrated that Paso Finos excel far beyond their traditional roles and have the intelligence, willingness, and sensitivity to thrive in liberty work and bridleless disciplines. Tracy and Jinx continue to elevate the visibility of the breed on a national stage, and their accomplishments at Liberty Festival 2025 are something the entire Paso community can take pride in.
For those who want to follow Tracy and Jinx’s journey, be sure to follow the North Central Liberty Horse Club – ILHA Facebook page. You’ll find even more beautiful performances, heartfelt moments, and inspiring examples of the deep connection they continue to build together.
